Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ripple ("we", "us" or "our"), a live event photo booth service. By creating an account or using Ripple in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.


1. The service

Ripple provides a platform for event hosts to create a digital photo booth for their guests. Guests access the booth via a QR code and take photos directly from their phone. Photos appear on a live slideshow and are stored in the host's gallery.

We offer a free demo tier and paid per-event upgrades (Pro and Premium). Features and photo retention periods vary by tier, as described on the Pricing page.

2. Accounts
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Accounts using false identities may be suspended.

  • You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of circumventing limits or restrictions.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ripple to:

  • Upload or distribute unlawful, harmful, or offensive content.

  • Upload photos of individuals without their consent, especially minors.

  • Infringe any intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.

  • Use the service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion.

4. Content and photos

You retain ownership of all photos taken at your events. By uploading photos to Ripple, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and deliver them solely for the purpose of operating the service (e.g. showing photos in your gallery and slideshow).

We do not use your event photos for marketing, training AI models, or any other purpose outside of providing the service to you.

Photos are automatically deleted after the retention period for your tier (7 days for free events, 30 days for Pro, 90 days for Premium, measured from the relevant anchor date). You are responsible for downloading any photos you wish to keep before they expire.

5. Payments and refunds

Per-event upgrades are charged as a one-time payment at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details.

All payments are in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Because event upgrades unlock an active service immediately, we do not offer refunds once the upload window for your event has opened. If you experience a technical issue that prevented you from using the service, please contact us within 7 days of your event.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Ripple available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update features, or change pricing with reasonable notice.

We reserve the right to discontinue features or the service entirely. If we discontinue the service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and give you the opportunity to download your photos.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Ripple is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, that photos will be retained beyond the stated retention period, or that any particular feature will remain available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant event upgrade in the 12 months prior to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of photos due to hardware failure, force majeure, or events outside our reasonable control.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Ripple after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
